I painted these plates on a dining room wall. White tempera was applied to the wall and the plates were painted free hand with gouache and touches of tempera and later I covered them with spay varnish for charcoal to give it some protection. The picture frames are made of plaster and I wood grained them after applying a couple of coats of white eggshell. I varnished the frames with single component satin polyurethane varnish.
