I painted this Teak woodgrain on the stainless steel doors and frame of an indoor swimming pool elevator, it is a copy of the teak wood panels which cover the walls. We applied metal primer first and then two coats of cream coloured eggshell and I painted the graining with acrylic paint and oil colour. It is protected with three coats of satin finish varnish.
The second photograph shows one of the landings in the same house and the treatment is the same but the graining imitates the paneling on the walls surrounding the elevator which is made of Spanish cherry wood.
The third photograph is a detail of the wood graining in process.
